Possible 90-degree heat today

Cooler air arrives for Mother's Day

PORTLAND, Oregon — Portland reached 83° for the first time this year Thursday and the forecast shows hotter temperatures likely this afternoon.  The forecast shows possible 90 degree highs today, which would set a record high for today's date.

The east winds will weaken today, and eventually be replaced by cooler winds from the west later Saturday and into Sunday.

The cooler coastal air will seep inland Saturday night, and Sunday’s highs will be around 80-degrees or cooler here in Portland.

Morning clouds break up Monday and Tuesday for more sunny weather, but highs will be in the 70s.
