PORTLAND, Ore. — A man is dead after a DUII crash in Portland's Madison South neighborhood early Saturday.

Officers responded at 2:06 a.m. to a report of a crash at Northeast Halsey Street and Northeast 92nd Avenue, where they found a man seriously injured, according to the Portland Police Bureau (PPB). He was then transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The man was identified Tuesday as 52-year-old Federico Pedro Pascual.

A Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team investigator determined that a driver, who remained at the scene, of a 2007 Toyota Sequoia SUV had hit the man, PPB said. The 23-year-old driver, Nicole M. Land of Milwaukie, was impaired. Land was then booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of second-degree assault, reckless driving and Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.

Halsey Street was closed during the investigation, which is ongoing. If anyone has information, please contact crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov, AATN: Traffic Investigations Unit, and reference case No. 24-109751. You can also call at 503-823-2103.
