OREGON, USA — Three brush fires were extinguished Saturday afternoon in Estacada, North Plains, and Portland with no injuries or damage reported.

Just before 1 p.m., Estacada Fire District responded to a brush fire caused by an escaped burn pile at 19114 South Springwater Road. The blaze, which burned 100 feet by 200 feet, was quickly extinguished and did not threaten any buildings, the fire district said.

Around 2 p.m., Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R) crews responded to a brush fire off Northwest Corey Road. The blaze burned about a quarter acre, and like the fire in Estacada, was caused by debris burning that got out of control. TVF&R reported no injuries or damages to structures.

Portland Fire and Rescue (PF&R) also responded to a brush fire underneath the overpass at South Corbett and Gaines Street in south Portland, around 2:12 p.m. The blaze had spread near a power substation but was extinguished with no damage to the equipment, PF&R said.
