Sunshine returns for Monday

It's going to be a sunny and warm start to the week, but showers return Tuesday.

PORTLAND, Oregon — Monday is going to be the best day of the week, with some morning clouds, but by the afternoon sunny skies with highs around 70 degrees. A strong system arrives by Tuesday afternoon bringing in scattered showers and cooler conditions with a chance for thunderstorms to develop by Wednesday. Daytime highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will only be in the upper 50s to the low 60s.

We'll see drier conditions by the later part of the week, and looking into next weekend for Memorial Day weekend, we're going to be looking at sunny and dry conditions, with temperatures getting a little warmer. At this point, it's looking like we could see highs getting back into the low 70s.

Have a great week,

Joe Raineri
