Stormy skies, hail and lightning today

A dry weekend with sunshine expected and highs in the 60s

PORTLAND, Oregon — You can expect numerous showers with some heavy downpours at times today, there's also a chance we could see thunderstorms and hail.  Stormy skies will hold valley highs close to 50 degrees, making for a chilly late March day.  Snow levels will hold near 3,000 feet.

If you have plans on heading over the mountains passes, be sure and check travel cameras and conditions.  Mt. Hood resorts report 8" of fresh snow over the past 24 hours.

Friday, we'll see decreasing showers during the day with completely dry weather eventually taking hold.  The weekend will feature sunshine both days with valley highs warming into the 60s.  Expecting mostly clear to partly sunny skies Easter morning.
