A very wet weekend

Winter Weather Advisory in the Cascades
KGW Forecast: 5 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2024

PORTLAND, Oregon — And the rain continues.  Rain keeps falling into Sunday when it finally transitions to showers late in the day. There may be a few sunbreaks Sunday late afternoon.

There’s a Winter Weather Advisory in the Cascades above 3,500 feet until 11 am Sunday. We should see over a foot of new snow on Mt Hood by Sunday morning, with more on the way through Tuesday.

For the valleys, it’s all rain with highs in the low to mid 50s, or about 10 degrees below average for this time of year.

But we see a dramatic pattern shift next week.

Wednesday brings a partly sunny sky and highs in the 60s.

Thursday through next weekend should be clear and warm. We’ll make the 70s Thursday and likely be in the 80s Friday through next Sunday.

Have a great weekend.
