PORTLAND, Oregon — Areas of drizzle will continue overnight, with heavier rain beginning in the early morning hours Thursday.
Rain will keep up most of the day, with the western valley getting a good soaking, .50 to .75 inches.
Snow will fall in the Cascades above 5,000 feet.
There should be a break from the steady rain Friday into early Saturday, but more rain sets in Saturday night into Sunday morning.
The Northwest stays in a generally cool, wet pattern through next week.
Have a great Thursday.
