Deputies arrest attempted murder suspect in Forest Grove

The suspect is wanted in connection with a shooting in Hillsboro early Friday morning.

CORNELIUS, Ore. — UPDATE (April 17) - Wilfredo Peraza-Domenech was taken into custody on a property in Forest Grove on Friday afternoon. He faces charges of attempted murder in the second degree, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.

Washington County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect involved in a shooting early this morning in Hillsboro. Deputies say the suspect is “armed and dangerous.”

The sheriff’s office tweeted that deputies are looking for Wilfredo Peraza-Domenech. His vehicle was found on a south side of Cornelius. 

Fern Hill Elementary School, Neil Armstrong Middle School and Swallowtail School were placed in lockout while deputies searched for the suspect in the area, but as of 11:30 a.m. those lockouts were lifted.

Deputies said the suspect was involved in a shooting on Southwest Minter Bridge Road in Hillsboro around 5:45 a.m.

It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the shooting.
