PORTLAND, Ore. — Four Brooklyn Nets players have tested positive for the coronavirus, the team announced Tuesday.
According to a statement from the Nets, only one of the four players is exhibiting symptoms. The other three are asymptomatic.
The names of the infected players were not released, but Kevin Durant told The Athletic’s Shams Charania that he was one of the players who tested positive. Durant is reportedly feeling fine and has not exhibited symptoms.
“Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine,” Durant told The Athletic. "We’re going to get through this.”
The four Nets who tested positive for the coronavirus are in isolation and are being cared for by team physicians, according to the Nets. The Nets are currently in the process of notifying anyone who has had known contact with the players, including recent opponents.

“All players and members of the Nets travel party are being asked to remain isolated, closely monitor their health and maintain constant communication with team medical staff,” the Nets said in a statement. “The health of our players and staff is of the highest priority to the organization and the team is doing everything within its power to ensure that those affected receive the best care possible.”
Seven players in the NBA have tested positive for the coronavirus over the last week.
The NBA suspended its season last Wednesday after Rudy Gobert was diagnosed with COVID-19. Jazz star Donovan Mitchell later tested positive for the coronavirus as well. On Saturday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski then reported that Detroit Pistons forward Christian Wood had also tested positive for the coronavirus.
