3,600 lost power in west Portland on Sunday

Power was restored about 12:30 a.m. Monday

PORTLAND, Ore. — About 3,600 customers were without power in parts of northwest and southwest Portland, according to Portland General Electric.

The power went out just before 10 p.m. Sunday night and came back on about 12:30 a.m. Monday.

A PGE spokesperson said a substation at SW Clay Street and 17th Avenue was down due to a faulty wire.

Fire crews said they've had to rescue people who got trapped in elevators when the power went out.
