PORTLAND, Ore. — A man initially arrested for breaking into several cars in Beaverton has also been charged with attempted murder in Portland.
Treyvon Harrison, 18, of Vancouver, Washington, turned himself into Beaverton police on Tuesday and was cited on three counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.
Beaverton police said Harrison broke into several vehicles at the Sorrento Bluff Apartments on Oct. 1. One of the victims got a picture of Harrison from her vehicle’s dash cam.
Beaverton police worked with Portland police’s Gun Violence Reduction Team, leading to Harrison also being arrested on Tuesday for attempted murder in Portland. Portland police said the shooting happened on June 19 near the 8100 block of Southeast Woodward Street.
No one was injured in the shooting, but two occupied apartments and two unoccupied vehicles were hit by bullets, police said.
Harrison was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of attempted aggravated murder, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of a vehicle and elude.
