WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore — Six men were arrested as part of an undercover child predator sting on Thursday, according to Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested Mario Bautista-Perez, 26, of Beaverton, Alfonso Cuevas-Alavarez, 40, of Oregon City, Larry Liu, 22, of Bethany, Shawn O’Brian, 30, of Portland, Pavel Protopopov, 25, of Washington, and Daniel Yim, 37, of Bethany.

All six men were charged with felony crimes of luring a minor and first-degree online sexual corruption of a child.

Investigators conducted the investigation by posing as 15-year-old boys and girls on a variety of social media platforms and dating web sites. Men who contacted the undercover deputies online were arrested when they arrived at the location where they believed they were meeting the child in person for sex.

Multiple people who learned that they were talking to someone identifying themselves as a child immediately ended their conversations, investigators said.
