Two men shot and killed in Clark County in apparent murder-suicide

CLARK COUNTY, Washington — Police identified the two men who died in an apparent murder-suicide Saturday night in Clark County.

According to the Clark County Medical Examiner's Office, 84-year-old Vernon W. Snider of Amboy, Wash., was shot multiple times in the head.

Robert E. Rowland, 56, also of Amboy, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, the medical examiner's office reported.

Deputies responded around 7 p.m. Saturday to a report of a possible homicide at 24707 Northeast 419th Street in Amboy, Washington.

Police found the bodies of two men who had both been shot. Police say one of the men "appeared to have died by means of a self-inflicted injury."

The Clark County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit is conducting the investigation.
