PORTLAND, Ore. — Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard was named to the All-NBA second team on Thursday, his fourth career All-NBA selection.

Lillard was a first-team selection last season. He was also named to the second team in the 2013-14 and 2015-16 seasons. Lillard joins Clyde Drexler as the only player in franchise history to be named to an All-NBA team four times.

The selection makes Lillard eligible for the designated veteran contract extension, more commonly referred to as the supermax.

Earlier this week, Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes reported that Lillard and the Blazers are expected to come to an agreement on the supermax extension, which would add four years and $191 million to the end of his current contract, which has two years remaining.

Lillard received eight first-team votes, 87 second-team votes and five third-team votes. He finished with 306 total points, the eighth-highest point total of the 15 players.

This season, Lillard averaged 25.8 points, 6.9 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. He led Portland to the Western Conference finals for the first time since the 1999-2000 season.
