Students funding maker program, auction off creations

Bidding on the projects ends at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

MILWAUKIE, Ore. — Students at a local technical school have spent the last few weeks working on nearly 70 one of a kind projects.

A class with nearly thirty students with the Clackamas School District’s Sabin-Schellenberg Professional School teamed up with The Joinery, a furniture manufacturing company in Southeast Portland.

The Joinery works with the students to sketch and designed the projects. Students then make prototypes using 3D rendering inside their classroom and build everything from coasters, toys to even maps.

“It’s pretty exciting because it gives us a new experience and lets us reach out beyond the classroom, says Donaldo Zarte a Sophomore at the school.

Bidding on the projects ends at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

All proceeds all go back to the students. They hope to raise at least $1,000.
