Police: Woman driving 80 mph in 30-mph zone arrested for DUII, hit-and-run

Based on evidence from the crash, Beaverton police believe Lazorchak's minimum speed was 82-83 mph.

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Police say a woman driving 80 mph in a 30-mph zone was arrested after she crashed in Beaverton early Tuesday morning and fled from the scene.

The crash occurred at around 12:13 a.m. at Southwest Murray Boulevard and Allen Boulevard. A witness told officers the driver, later identified as 24-year-old Ashley Lazorchak, was speeding when she crashed and fled on foot. A K-9 unit tracked Lazorchak to Southwest 150th Avenue and Village Lane, less than a half-mile from the crash.

Based on evidence from the crash, Beaverton police believe Lazorchak’s minimum speed was 82-83 mph.

Lazorchak was taken to a hospital after being apprehended. The Oregon State Crime Lab will determine her blood alcohol content. She was then booked into Washington County Jail on charges of DUII, hit-and-run and reckless driving.
