NEWBERG, Ore. — At least one person was injured in a Saturday morning crash that has closed Highway 99W in Newberg.
The crash occurred before 10 a.m. near Haugen Road in Newberg, south of Sherwood. Three people were trapped in one of the vehicles before first responders arrived and helped them out, according to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.
One person was taken to a Portland hospital with serious injuries, TVF&R said. It wasn’t clear how serious the injuries were for the other people involved.
The highway was reopened Saturday afternoon.
