PORTLAND, Ore. — We unearthed some compelling videos from the KGW archive of former Trail Blazers owner Paul Allen, who died of cancer on Monday.
The first video is from 1988 when Allen bought the Blazers for $70 million. The second video is in two parts and includes clips from a long, sit-down interview with Allen when the Rose Garden opened in 1995.
We also found a fun video clip from a 1998 game between the Bulls and Blazers that included Scottie Pippen, Michael Jordan, Allen and Rasheed Wallace. We decided it deserves to live on in GIF form.
Enjoy.

1998: Pippen to Jordan to ... Allen? To Sheed!
The 1997-98 season was Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen's final year with the Bulls. Jordan retired the next season (for three years, then he came back to play for the Washington Wizards). Pippen went to Houston the next season and was then traded to Portland. The 1997-98 season was Rasheed Wallace's second season in Portland.
