2 dead, 1 seriously hurt after fiery car crash outside Vancouver

Investigators are still determining what caused the crash. Identities of the four people involved in the crash are not being released at this time.

HOCKINSON, Wash. — Two people died and another was seriously injured after a vehicle crashed into a tree and caught fire at Northeast 182nd Avenue and Northeast 139th Street in Hockinson, Washington late Saturday night.

Investigators say the vehicle, a 2008 Toyota Scion XB, was driving west on NE 139th at about 11:22 p.m. when it sped through the NE 182nd intersection and crashed into a tree.

Isabella Huyck, 19, of Tumwater, Washington, who didn't make it out of the vehicle, and Aaron T. Jones, 34, of Vancouver, who was pulled from the vehicle, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Another woman, 33-year-old Lindsay Winter of Hillsboro, was pulled from the vehicle. She suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital. A fourth passenger, 24-year-old Derek Martin of Vancouver, suffered minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital.

The vehicle was registered to Huyck. Jones was driving at the time of the crash.

Investigators are still determining what caused the crash. Identities of the four people involved in the crash are not being released at this time.
